To the Citizens of Orleans-
The Orleans Fire Department, as well as other town departments, are taking COVID-19/Coronavirus very seriously. We are working collaboratively to provide a safe and healthy community.

If you have an emergency, please Call 911, we will continue to respond with the high-quality professionalism you expect.

To ensure the safety of our community and our staff, we are implementing the following measures:
The Fire Station will be closed to the general public. If you have any emergency, please CALL 911, we will respond to you.

If you have other fire department business: please call 508.255.0050

All meetings and classes are postponed.

For inspections / fire prevention, please call 508.255.0050- we will continue to provide resale and other inspections on a case by case basis.

For open burning permits: the requirement for a permit is being waived effective 16 March 2020. for the remainder of the 2020 burning season. Citizens who wish to burn shall review the opening burning regulations on our website under the PREVENTION tab and then must call in to the burn line number (on website) to determine if burning is allowed that day. Callers must provide name, address, and call back telephone number.

The Fire Department will NOT accept donations of food items.

Our Firefighters will be taking additional precautions when responding to emergencies with the use of masks gowns, goggles, and other protective equipment as deemed appropriate for the situation. Our dispatchers may ask additional questions related to the specific situation.

We strongly encourage you to follow Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as well Massachusetts Department of Public Health recommendations. For more information, please go to the Town of Orleans Health Department website.
